What's happening in Elmore
Explore Elmore in Autumn 2020
Autumn is the perfect time of year to explore Elmore on foot. Access our walking tour or find your own way.
Foggy mornings, crisp days, clear skies, and the smell of wood smoke in the air makes for a truly sensory experience wherever it is you choose to wander.
The new north extension of the Campaspe River walking path makes any time of day a good time for a walk on the river. Twitchers will be rewarded and those with patience and a keen eye might spot a platypus or rakali.
Why not grab a coffee from one of our three local cafes (Copper Kettle, The Elmore Bakery or Oasis Cafe) and head west to see the public art at the swimming pool and further on to the cemetery to connect with Elmore's history.
Looking for a space for quiet meditation? Then wander down to the boat ramp. With fishing and camping not allowed at this time, you'll likely have this spot all to yourself.
Or just wander the streets and see some of the town's stunning gardens and architecture.
Wherever you roam, you'll be sure to discover something wonderful, unique or unexpected. Have your camera handy!
